Catch Rare Bug Pokémon in the Latest Scarlet and Violet Mass Outbreak Event!

The Pokémon Company has officially announced a brand-new Mass Outbreak event for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, focusing on Bug-type Pokémon. Trainers across Paldea will soon encounter an increased number of Bug-type species spawning throughout the region — a perfect opportunity for Shiny hunting and building a more diverse team.

📅 Event Schedule and Details

The Bug-Type Mass Outbreak Event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will take place:

  • Start Date: May 24, 2025

  • End Date: May 26, 2025

During this limited-time event, various Bug-type Pokémon such as Scyther, Heracross, Spinarak, and Venipede will appear more frequently in Mass Outbreaks across the map.

✨ Increased Chance for Shiny Bug-Type Pokémon

As with previous outbreak events, Shiny Pokémon will have a significantly boosted appearance rate, especially when players combine Mass Outbreaks with Shiny Sandwiches or the Shiny Charm.

This makes the event ideal for competitive players and collectors who are aiming to expand their Shiny Bug-type collections.

🌍 Global Participation

The event will be available globally to anyone who has downloaded the latest Pokémon Scarlet and Violet event news via the Poké Portal. Players must be connected to the internet, but no Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required.
