All trademarks belong to their respective owners.- Top Laner: Often plays solo in the top lane. These champions are typically durable fighters or tanks who focus on split-pushing (pushing a lane alone) or joining team fights as a frontline. Patch 25.13 notably buffed Irelia to make her a stronger top lane pick.
- Jungler: Operates primarily in the jungle, clearing monsters, securing neutral objectives (like Dragons, Baron Nashor, and Atakhan), and “ganking” (ambushing) enemy lanes to help allies secure kills. Jungle items now automatically upgrade, reducing mistakes for new players. Fiddlesticks and Rammus received buffs in Patch 25.13, making them sleeper picks.
- Mid Laner: A highly versatile role in the middle lane, often playing burst mages or assassins. Mid laners can quickly roam to assist either top or bottom lane and become primary damage carries.
- ADC (Attack Damage Carry) / Bottom Laner: A ranged champion (usually a Marksman) who focuses on dealing sustained physical damage. ADCs are typically fragile early but scale incredibly well into the late game, becoming the team’s main damage output in team fights.
- Support: Plays in the bottom lane alongside the ADC. Supports focus on utility, vision control (placing “wards” to reveal enemy positions), healing, shielding, and initiating or peeling (protecting allies) in team fights. Support items also automatically upgrade, similar to jungle. Lulu received more unconventional nerfs in Patch 25.10.
